Kate Gosselin Found In Contempt Of Court, Gets Hit With Fine

Kate Gosselin has been found in contempt of court. It's the latest dramatic chapter in the Jon & Kate Plus 8 and Kate Plus 8 star's life. The decision comes after Kate was accused by her ex-husband, Jon, of allowing their underage kids to be filmed without work permits. It stems from a special episode of Kate Plus 8 that aired on TLC in October. According to Jon, that episode defied a judge's order that barred the network from filming the pair's kids without explicit permissions.

According to DailyMailTV, for the kids to appear on air, Kate would need to get a special permit and to give Jon a filming schedule, but she never did. Judges seem to discourage Kate from giving the children airtime. One had previously ruled it was not in the "best interests" of the Gosselin kids to be filmed, something Jon agrees with.

Nonetheless, Jon and Kate's 15-year-old kids Alexis, Aaden, Joel and Leah all made the final cut for the Kate Plus 8 episode and for that, Kate had to pay Jon $1,500. She reportedly also owes him another $25,000 for fees on a previous legal issue.

Kate Gosselin Visits "Extra"

The special episode of Kate Plus 8 with the unauthorized appearances of the kids has been pulled from TLC's website. Meanwhile, Jon thinks Kate's reality show is now "dead in the water," adding, "I don't think they will ever film again. I've heard nothing from TLC. I really just want to get my kids off the television period." He stated, "There is no reason my kids need to be on television anymore, it doesn't benefit them in any way. It is very confusing for them. I love all my kids. I want them to grow up and have a normal life."
