Classic rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd have hit the studio with Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5 for a collaboration the "Sweet Home Alabama" stars are sure has puzzled many fans.
The veterans are planning to release their first album since 2003's Vicious Cycle - and John 5 is at the controls.
Guitarist Rickey Medlocke is keen to answer devotees who fear Manson's man is too heavy for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
He says, "Everybody thought, 'My god, you are going to write with this guy? How is that ever going to work?' But this guy came in and is really multi-talented in all genres."
